Hardangervidda at Night
In March of 2025, I was out on a ski expedition on Norway's Hardangervidda - a plateau between Bergen and Oslo, that often has similar conditions to the Arctic in winter. I stayed at Krækkja Turisthytte and took the opportunity to go for a little night walk and see some stars. The resulting scenery wasn't quite what I had hoped, but it is lovely nonetheless. The green glow must be a faint aurora being visible, while the yellow and orange glows is certainly from the settlements to the north or a car using the road respectively. The twigs are used to mark the ski routes across the plateau.
