Mont-Saint-Michel with the Milky Way

In July 2018, we stayed at a camp site close to the beach where you could see the famous Mont-Saint-Michel across the bay. I looked up if by any chance there was a good photo opportunity that night, and indeed, the Milky Way centre was set to appear right behind it in a basically perfect alignment. So I got up at 1 am and walked half an hour to the beach to spend some time shooting.

The result here is actually a composite picture, with the bottom part taken from a 135mm shot, whereas the Milky Way is from my 18mm lens. Using only the latter, you wouldn't be able to see the island, as it would just be a tiny dot.
