Lundy - July 2026

I returned to Lundy in July 2026, for a longer stay this time. July isn't as good for the seabirds compared to June, as many of them have already finished breeding and are leaving the island. But there were still a few hundred Puffins to see. There are plenty of other birds, however, such as Wheatears, Pipits, Stonechats, Starlings and some Peregrine Falcons and Kestrels. Additionally, the sea is now warm enough to swim, so I brought snorkeling equipment and was happy to discover that Lundy is as stunning underwater, as it is above. We were also blessed with clear skies for an entire week, which gave me some great opportunities for astrophotography.
