We went on a day trip to see the town of Tangermünde, which is famous for its picturesque old town and brick gothic architecturefrom the 16th to the 18th century. Due to its strategic location at the Elbe river, Tangermünde rose to a prominent trading hub in the 15th century and even became a member of the Hanseatic League.
